Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel role, based in West Yorkshire will deliver expert support across contract negotiation, commercial disputes, compliance, and company wide policy and training. You'll be part of highly successful company who supply to the UK's fast evolving defence industry.

They're undergoing an exciting phase of growth, with increased demand for their advanced power transmission systems. Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad spectrum of high-value and complex commercial contracts
• Advising stakeholders across commercial, operational and strategic matters
• Investigating, managing and resolving disputes
• Liaising with external counsel on contentious issues
• Overseeing company compliance and regulatory obligations
• Assisting with redevelopment of company wide policies, procedures and precedents
• Delivering legal training to the wider business
• Wider duties include advising in relation to commercial property, construction contracts, IP, and IT contracts

Profile

The Legal Counsel should be:

• A solicitor (or equivalent) with 3+ years PQE
• Skilled in high-value, complex commercial contracts is a must
• Experienced (advantageous) in commercial property, construction, IP, or IT
• Familiarity with manufacturing or defence sectors is a plus, though not essential
• Due to the nature of the company, candidates will have to undergo security clearance
