Description
- Manage procurement strategies for the IT category to deliver cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement legislation and internal policies.
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for better value and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand IT requirements and align procurement strategies.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favourable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues effectively.
- Provide expert advice on IT procurement to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and outcomes.
Profile
A successful Interim Category Manager - IT/Digital should have:
- Proven experience in IT procurement within the Public and Not for Profit Sectors
- Strong knowledge of procurement legislation and compliance requirements - Including experience with PCR 2015 and PA23
- Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends to inform procurement decisions.
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet organisational needs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Job Offer
- Daily rate of GBP 450- GBP 515 (inside IR35).
- Part-time role - 3 days per week
