The Interim Category Manager - IT will focus on managing procurement projects, ensuring value for money and compliance with regulations in the Public Sector. This temporary position based in Birmingham requires expertise in IT procurement and category management.

Description

  • Review and manage operational IT contracts within scope.
  • Assess and recommend optimal procurement strategies (renewal vs. strategic sourcing).
  • Leverage knowledge of available, fit-for-purpose frameworks to deliver compliant and cost-effective solutions.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to inform decisions and secure buy-in.
  • Report to and work closely with Senior IT Category Managers and/or the Head of Category Management.

Profile

  • Proven experience in IT category management within a public sector or regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of National Framework Agreements and procurement regulations.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions based on commercial, operational, and compliance considerations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate of £400 to £450
  • Opportunity for a longer contract after 3-6 months
