Interim ERP Procurement Manager

We are working with a Not-for-Profit organisation who is embarking on a significant digital transformation and is seeking an experienced Interim ERP Procurement Manager to lead the procurement and commercial delivery of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Description

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Sourcing Strategy: Shape and lead the sourcing strategy and route-to-market for the ERP solution and implementation partner, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations.
  • Requirements & Specification: Support workshops and challenge business, functional, and non-functional requirements, converting these into clear, testable tender documentation.
  • Tender Pack Development: Own the development of all procurement materials, including ITT documents, specifications, evaluation methodology, scoring models, and pricing/commercial schedules.
  • Tender Management: Run the end-to-end tender process-supplier communications, responses, clarifications, governance checkpoints, and timetable management.
  • Evaluation & Moderation: Lead structured evaluation of written submissions, demos, and commercial proposals; facilitate fair and auditable scoring sessions.
  • Commercial Assessment: Analyse total cost of ownership, licensing models, implementation proposals, and risk areas to drive commercial value.
  • Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations and work closely with Legal on key contractual positions.
  • Governance & Award: Prepare award recommendations and papers for senior governance forums and Board-level approval.

Profile

A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:

    • 7-10+ years of procurement experience delivering complex IT or ERP procurement's.
    • A proven track record of managing high-value, multi-stage ERP or enterprise system procurement to successful contract award.
    • Strong capability in tender design, evaluation frameworks, and structured assessment methodologies.
    • Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with experience challenging supplier pricing models and assessing total cost of ownership.

Job Offer

  • £500 - £600 per day dependant on ERP experience.
  • Opportunity to work within the not-for-profit sector and make a meaningful impact.
  • Interim role for 9 months.
