Interim IT Category Manager
We are seeking an experienced Interim IT Category Manager to lead high-value, strategically important commercial activity within a fast-paced, high-performing Commercial function. Description
- Lead delivery of Technology Category procurement activity to the highest professional standards.
- Implement and embed effective category management and contract management practices.
- Be accountable for the timely, compliant and assured delivery of all commercial arrangements.
- Drive performance and commercial value through strong market insight and expert negotiation.
- Ensure contract management is considered from the outset of all procurement activity.
- Build commercial capability across the organisation to support informed sourcing decisions.
- Develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain excellent supplier performance.
- Monitor suppliers and take corrective action where required to meet organisational objectives.
- Support delivery of a programme of commercial transformation.
- Perform any other reasonable duties relevant to the role.
Profile
A successful Interim IT Category Manager professional should have:
- MCIPS-qualified commercial professional.
- Extensive experience leading end-to-end procurement, contracting and supplier relationship management in the Technology Category, including use of Government frameworks (e.g. CCS).
- Public sector procurement experience is essential.
- Ability to develop and deliver commercial strategies and write clear, concise commercial documentation.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to analyse complex business issues and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines, demonstrating resilience and sound judgement under pressure.
Job Offer
- Daily rate of £550 per day.
- Interim role based in London.
- 2 days on-site per week.
