Account Executive - Selling into Pharma/Life Science Companies

The Account Executive will play a pivotal role in driving sales and fostering client relationships within the Pharma and life science space across the UK.

Description

Client Engagement:

  • Manage, develop, and expand an existing portfolio of corporate clients
  • Build strong, trusted relationships at multiple levels within customer organisations
  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and growth opportunities

Revenue Growth:

  • Identify and engage new potential corporate customers through outreach, referrals
  • Deliver compelling customer meetings, demos, and solution presentations
  • Lead commercial negotiations and close agreements

Solution Selling:

  • Analyse customer usage, data, and spend patterns to identify optimisation and upsell opportunities
  • Build business cases and deliver tailored proposals
  • Track market trends and proactively identify new business opportunities in the UK market

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Work closely with Customer Success, local operations, marketing and UK and global sales colleagues
  • Share insights and support continuous improvement across our UK sales organisation
  • Develop your own go-to-market plan for the UK corporate segment

Profile

  • Background in B2B sales-preferably consultative or solution-based
  • Experience managing large or strategic accounts
  • Comfortable navigating procurement processes and long sales cycles
  • Confident working with data, usage insights, and financial models
  • Able to spot growth opportunities and build strong value-based propositions
  • Skilled at building trust and engaging stakeholders
  • Self-driven, well-organised, and motivated by both independence and teamwork
  • Curious, improvement-oriented and comfortable taking initiative
  • Fluency in English
  • Based in the UK with ability to meet customers when required

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from £70,000 to £80,000 base.
  • Fantastic OTE and earning potential
