AI Consultant

This role leads the responsible adoption of AI across the organisation by identifying high-value use cases, shaping solution design, and guiding implementations to ensure they deliver real business benefit while meeting governance and compliance standards.

Description

  • Support the rollout and integration of AI solutions across the organisation, ensuring alignment with the AI governance framework and compliance with relevant ethical, regulatory and risk standards.
  • Partner with business teams to identify and validate AI use cases, gather requirements and map existing processes-highlighting where AI can improve efficiency or decision-making while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
  • Contribute to the design, testing and evaluation of AI tools; produce clear documentation such as requirements, process maps and user guides to support implementation and long-term governance.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on safe and effective AI usage; work with IT and data teams to ensure solutions align with data governance, security policies and existing system architecture.
  • Build simple, tactical no-code AI solutions to demonstrate capabilities and deliver lightweight, production-ready agents that support business needs.
  • Define and track key performance and risk metrics-including dashboards, usage statistics and risk indicators-to monitor solution performance and communicate insights, progress and issues to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and industry trends, translating relevant developments into new opportunities or risk mitigations for the organisation.

Profile

  • Experience in business analysis or technology consulting, ideally within financial services (front-office exposure advantageous), with hands-on involvement in implementing AI solutions using modern platforms and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience delivering technology transformation projects-preferably including AI or data initiatives-from design through implementation and adoption, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Microsoft AI technologies is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance and risk management, including data protection, AI ethics and evolving regulatory requirements, along with solid skills in mapping and improving business processes.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or data/AI-related qualifications) and experience with modern AI or cloud platforms are beneficial.
