AI Solutions Engineer

Lead technical implementation and rapid delivery of multiple AI initiatives across the organisation.

Build and maintain the platforms and tools that enable new AI capabilities, as well as developing small-scale AI applications to meet business needs.

Description

• Build and maintain the internal AI platform on Microsoft Azure and M365, enabling rapid prototyping and deployment of AI tools in a secure, scalable and reliable environment.
• Design, develop and deploy multiple small-scale AI solutions using Azure AI services (such as Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry) to address targeted business requirements, rapidly iterating on prototypes to deliver timely results.
• Work closely with the AI Solutions Consultant and business stakeholders to refine requirements and solution designs, ensuring each implementation is fit for purpose and compliant with governance policies.
• Integrate AI applications with existing systems and data sources, collaborating with IT and data teams to ensure technical compatibility, strong data governance, and an intuitive user experience.
• Monitor, optimise and support AI solutions in production by tracking performance, addressing issues and driving continuous improvements for reliability, security and efficiency.
• Produce clear documentation for solution designs, configurations and support procedures to enable effective handover and ongoing maintenance.

Profile

• A hands-on AI engineer with proven experience developing and deploying AI solutions, particularly on Microsoft Azure's AI platforms. Strong programming skills and a solid understanding of cloud architecture are essential, along with familiarity with DevOps practices for deployment and lifecycle management.
• An agile problem-solver who collaborates effectively, manages multiple projects, and communicates technical concepts clearly to a broad range of stakeholders. A solid grasp of data governance, security and AI ethics is critical to ensuring safe and compliant solutions.
• Experience building AI agent-based solutions using no-code or low-code tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, with the ability to deliver focused, small-scale agents that support business processes.
• Relevant certifications-such as Microsoft Azure AI Engineer or Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect-are desirable, as is exposure to additional AI technologies or cloud platforms. Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is advantageous.
