Description

Data Architect

    • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks that are secure, scalable and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
    • Design logical and physical data models, data flows and integration patterns across platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, data lakes and data warehouses.
    • Partner with analytics, engineering and business teams to ensure seamless data integration and the availability of high-quality, accessible data.
    • Implement strong data governance and compliance practices, ensuring adherence to data protection, security and industry standards.
    • Evaluate, recommend and support the adoption of modern data technologies and tools, including Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Copilot and emerging AI/ML solutions.
    • Lead data platform modernisation initiatives, including optimisation of existing environments and supporting transitions from legacy systems to cloud-based solutions.
    • Provide clear technical guidance to cross-functional teams, translating complex data and AI concepts into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.
    • Monitor and optimise data systems to enhance performance, reliability, accuracy and operational efficiency.
    • Support the integration of machine learning and AI solutions, ensuring ethical governance, ongoing monitoring and responsible deployment.
    • Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing data team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative and continuously improving culture.

Profile

Data Architect

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data architecture and data management, with hands-on experience designing scalable, secure and high-quality data solutions in modern cloud environments. They will be highly proficient in data modelling, integration patterns and analytics-enabling platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and related data technologies.
