Description
- Define and deliver target data architecture for a modern Azure and Microsoft Fabric platform
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions to support retail, trading, and commercial analytics
- Establish data platform standards, patterns, and best practices across ingestion, modelling, semantic layers, and reporting
- Partner with stakeholders across retail, finance, digital, and analytics teams to translate business needs into data architecture
- Support the integration of retail systems such as POS, e-commerce platforms, inventory, and customer data
- Guide data modelling approaches to enable insights across sales performance, customer behaviour, and operational efficiency
- Provide architectural governance and assurance across delivery teams
- Enable analytics and reporting at scale using Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Power BI)
Profile
- Proven experience working as a Data Architect in complex, data-rich environments
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including modern data services
- Hands-on experience designing solutions using Microsoft Fabric
- Background in retail, e-commerce, consumer, or commercially-driven organisations
- Experience working with trading, sales, customer, inventory, or financial data
- Strong data modelling skills and understanding of analytics-led use cases
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical and business stakeholders
- Comfortable working in contract roles, delivering impact quickly within evolving environments
