Enterprise SAP Architect
The Enterprise SAP Architect will be responsible for defining and governing the target architecture for the S/4 core platform. This includes setting the technical direction, shaping the target template, supporting the engagement with the Systems Integrator, and ensuring that the solution is scalable, standardised and aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the target architecture for the SAP S/4 core platform.
- Lead architecture governance for the S/4 implementation.
- Set architecture principles, design standards and guardrails.
- Ensure the programme adopts SAP standard functionality wherever possible.
- Challenge unnecessary customisation and complexity.
- Work closely with the Systems Integrator and take ownership of their S/4 architecture approach.
- Partner with enterprise architecture, domain architects and specialist architects across areas such as integration, data, security and analytics.
- Support the design of a viable target state across business process, data, technology and integration.
- Help shape the technical template for the global S/4 rollout.
- Provide architecture input into roadmap, platform and delivery decisions.
- Support adoption of key SAP tools and technologies including S/4 Private Cloud, Cloud ALM, Joule and LeanIX.
- Ensure architecture decisions are clearly documented and aligned to governance standards.
- Provide hands-on guidance to delivery teams, architects and senior stakeholders.
- Support the use of AI and automation where it can improve migration, implementation and future business operations.
Profile
A successful Enterprise SAP Architect should have:
- Extensive experience in SAP architecture.
- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and modern SAP landscapes.
- Experience working on large, complex SAP transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of target-state architecture and template design.
- Experience operating within architecture governance or design authority environments.
- Ability to challenge Systems Integrator designs and ensure the right outcome for the business.
- Broad knowledge across ERP process areas such as finance, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, order-to-cash, record-to-report, master data or controls.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders as well as technical teams.
- Experience working in large or regulated organisations.
- A strong focus on simplification, standardisation and reducing technical debt.
- The ability to operate in a fast-moving environment where the target state may continue to evolve.

- Salary range of £110,000 to £140,000
