Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT Business Partners to ensure strong alignment between IT and business objectives.
- Define and deliver IT strategies that support business goals and improve operational efficiency.
- Own and manage the IT Capex budget, ensuring effective resource allocation across initiatives.
- Track spend, monitor project financials, and report budget performance to senior leadership.
- Establish and optimise 1st and 2nd line support processes to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Embed best practices for incident, request, and problem management.
- Partner with business leaders to identify technology needs and improvement opportunities across the business.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
- Manage risks, resources, and timelines using appropriate project management approaches.
- Monitor service and support performance metrics to assess effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-led insights and process optimisation.
Profile
A successful Head of Business IT should have:
- Proven expertise in IT leadership
- Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering large programmes of work
- Delivery focussed Project Management capabilities
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive change in an efficient and pro-active manner
- Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
- Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
