Head of IT Delivery

The Head of IT Delivery will play a pivotal leadership role within the IT department, overseeing a dynamic team of IT Business Partners and managing the IT capital expenditure (Capex) budget for strategic projects. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of 1st and 2nd level support processes, driving innovation, and aligning IT initiatives with business goals.

Description

· Lead, mentor, and develop IT Business Partners to ensure strong alignment between IT and business objectives.· Define and deliver IT strategies that support business goals and improve operational efficiency.· Own and manage the IT Capex budget, ensuring effective resource allocation across initiatives.· Track spend, monitor project financials, and report budget performance to senior leadership.· Establish and optimise 1st and 2nd line support processes to ensure timely issue resolution.· Embed best practices for incident, request, and problem management.· Partner with business leaders to identify technology needs and improvement opportunities across the business.· Communicate clearly with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.· Oversee the planning and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget.· Manage risks, resources, and timelines using appropriate project management approaches.· Monitor service and support performance metrics to assess effectiveness.· Drive continuous improvement through data-led insights and process optimisation.

Profile

  • Proven experience in IT project delivery across enterprise wide structures with the ability to articulate a clear IT vision
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to empower and motivate teams
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities with demonstrated experience of conveying complex and technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
  • A track record of managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Knowledge of compliance and best practices in technology delivery
