IT Manager

This role oversees day-to-day IT operations, ensuring stable, secure services across a small executive environment. Acting as the main IT contact, you'll manage suppliers, provide hands-on technical support, and maintain compliance while ensuring executive staff have the tools they need.

Description

  • Act as primary liaison with external IT service providers and manage escalations
  • Provide onsite support for hardware, software, networking and A/V issues
  • Oversee local IT needs including devices, connectivity and meeting room tech
  • Monitor system performance and raise improvements through service partners
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support patching, backups and identity management workflows
  • Contribute to ISO27001 audit activity and maintain documentation
  • Manage hardware/software lifecycle and asset records
  • Align procurement with onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Support integration of new SaaS platforms and technical onboarding
  • Assist with secure deployment of new technologies
  • Deliver user training to enhance tool adoption
  • Contribute to budget planning, forecasting and cost efficiency reviews
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Profile

  • Experience managing IT operations within a managed service provider model
  • 5+ years in an IT management role within an SMB environment
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking and Microsoft 365
  • Hands-on troubleshooting with Windows, hardware, SaaS and A/V
  • Knowledge of security frameworks; ISO27001 desirable
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and GDPR requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to support budgeting and cost optimisation
  • Experience leading IT/security staff
  • SaaS integrations, PowerShell, patching, Power Platform
  • Exposure to incident management and BCP/DR testing
  • ITIL or similar service management knowledge
