IT Network Manager

The IT Network Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's IT network infrastructure, ensuring robust and secure connectivity across the healthcare industry. Description

  • Manage the organisation's IT network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Oversee network security protocols to safeguard sensitive healthcare data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of technology systems.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
  • Develop and implement strategies for network scalability and future growth.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards specific to healthcare.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT team.

Profile

A successful IT Network Manager should have:

  • Excellent (7+ years) experience within a medium/large organisation (£500M+ annual revenue, 6,000+ end-users, 40+ different locations)
  • Excellent (7+ years) experience in Network technologies such as: LAN Switching, WAN/LAN Routing and L3 technologies, Firewalls, Load Balancing and traffic prioritising technologies, VPN and Remote Access Technologies, Network management platform technologies, WLAN, network capacity planning and management including detailed sub/supernetting.
  • Significant (5+ years) experience of enterprise architecture, network design and documentation including designing solutions derived from standards and templates.
  • Some (1+ years) experience in supplier relationship management, commercial and budgetary management.
