IT Project Manager

Michael Page are looking for a highly organised Project Manager to oversee and deliver technology projects within the financial services sector. Based in Manchester City Centre, this role is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of key technology initiatives from start to finish

Description

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of technology projects, from initial scoping through to successful completion, ensuring all outcomes are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, covering schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and key dependencies.
  • Coordinate and support cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and broader business goals.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the full project life-cycle.
  • Communicate clear, consistent, and timely updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, milestones, risks, and emerging developments.
  • Ensure full compliance with financial services regulations and relevant industry standards, embedding governance throughout project execution
  • Continually review and refine project delivery processes to increase efficiency, reduce friction, and enhance overall project performance.

Profile

Essential:

  • 5+ years experience leading and delivering projects, ideally within the financial services environment. Strong understanding of technology-driven initiatives, including their unique challenges and requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Confident and adaptable communication skills, enabling productive engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, capable of navigating challenges and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Solid proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset with strong ownership.

Desirable:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Exposure to technology-led environments or digital transformation

Job Offer
