Infrastructure Engineer

This interim contract as an Infrastructure Engineer in the public sector requires expertise in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure. You will play a key part in supporting and enhancing the organisation's technology systems, driving strategy, innovation and automation

Description

• Manage and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
• Assist in the deployment of new systems and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the secure and efficient operation of technology systems.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Document technical processes and create user guides where necessary.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT systems and processes.

Profile

The successful applicant will:

• Deliver and maintain the cyber elements that underpins programme delivery
• Ensure tasks are prioritised and delivered in accordance with programme requirements.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise for the programme.
• Strong experience of developing and supporting Microsoft servers and enterprise core services (Active Directory, Exchange etc) as well as Azure deployments of these services
• Supporting other Azure platform components and associated troubleshooting

Job Offer

• Competitive daily rate of GBP 550 to GBP 650
