Description

A Lead Solution Architect is responsible for a group of solution architecture initiatives, or a single more complex area. They typically coach and support more junior solution architects.

Profile

A successful Lead Solution Architect should have:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience of event-driven architecture and domain-driven design.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies, particularly Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Microsoft 365.
  • Broad knowledge of data, application, technology and security architecture.
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and tools.
  • Working knowledge of government frameworks and standards

Accountability

  • Define the solution architecture and design for prioritised initiatives in line with TPR's principles, policies and standards.
  • Shape initiatives during product discovery and ensure solutions are implemented in line with approved designs.
  • Help to define and maintain architecture roadmaps, guardrails and playbooks.
  • Assist in aligning and refining digital, data and technology target and interim state architecture blueprints.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design community of practice and help to maintain TPR's architecture repository.
  • Support the delivery of operational efficiencies and cost savings/avoidance through business alignment, proactive application portfolio management, and reuse.
  • Foster clear communication and effective collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing issues and mitigating risks, resolving emerging and recurring problems.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with relevant teams to implement.
