Onsite Network Engineer (Infrastructure)
Hands-on Infrastructure & Network Analyst required to support a Chelmsford office setup project. You will install and configure network hardware, assist with comms room build-out, and deliver end-to-end connectivity and meeting room solutions. This is a site-based role with strong stakeholder engagement and the potential to support further network projects.

Description
- Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards regarding network infrastructure.upporting the setup and commissioning of a new office location.
- Assisting with the design, build, and organisation of communication rooms and network cabinets.
- Configuring, installing, and testing network infrastructure, including Cisco Meraki switches and wireless access points.
- Performing structured cabling, data patching, and network connectivity activities.
- Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting meeting room and collaboration technology.
- Supporting network migrations, equipment deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Conducting network testing and ensuring connectivity and performance standards are met.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of network configurations, cabling layouts, and infrastructure changes.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, third-party suppliers, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Providing technical support and guidance throughout the implementation phase.
Profile
A successful Onsite Network Engineer (Infrastructure) should have:
- Proven experience in infrastructure and network deployment projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking technologies, including switches and wireless access points.
- Experience with network cabling, patching, rack installation, and comms room setup.
- Familiarity with meeting room and audiovisual equipment deployment.
- Good understanding of LAN, WAN, wireless networking, and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within a project environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfortable performing physical installation work and spending significant time on-site.
