PMO Lead

An experienced PMO Lead is required to strengthen project delivery across a portfolio of technology initiatives within a local government setting. This role will establish governance frameworks, enhance reporting, and ensure projects are aligned to strategic priorities while supporting delivery teams and improving PMO processes.

Description

  • Develop and implement PMO governance frameworks and standards.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular stakeholder reporting.
  • Align resource allocation with organisational priorities.
  • Lead risk and issue management across project portfolios.
  • Support delivery teams to meet key milestones and deadlines
  • Coordinate communication across teams and departments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Identify and implement PMO process improvements.

Profile

  • Proven experience as a PMO Lead or PMO Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and project delivery methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).
  • Experience in portfolio reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within public sector or local government environments is highly desirable.
