Practice Lead - DuckCreek

The DuckCreek Practice Lead will design and deliver modern, customer-focused solutions for the insurance sector. The role will involve working closely with clients, internal delivery teams and the transformation office to understand business challenges and turn them into practical solutions that can be implemented.

Combining deep insurance domain expertise with technology, analytics, AI and operational services, they support clients across the entire insurance value chain, from underwriting and policy administration through to claims, finance and business transformation.

Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of insurance services solutions across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, billing and reinsurance.
  • Work with clients to understand business challenges and turn them into clear, practical and deliverable solutions.
  • Redesign insurance processes to improve efficiency, scalability and suitability for automation and AI-led delivery.
  • Define how work should be managed between people, systems and AI tools, including decision points, controls and exception handling.
  • Lead workshops, process reviews and solution design sessions with clients and internal teams, creating reusable frameworks, process maps and playbooks.
  • Support the full solutioning process, including RFP responses, proposals, business cases, presentations, demos and senior stakeholder discussions.
  • Work closely with delivery, technology, transformation and client teams to ensure solutions are practical, compliant and aligned to client needs, while staying informed on market, regulatory and technology trends.

Profile

A successful DuckCreek Practice Lead should have:

  • Have 5+ years of experience of Duck Creek.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance services sector, including Life, P&C, Health and Reinsurance, with experience across insurance or financial services processes.
  • Experience designing, improving and transforming business processes, with the ability to turn complex client problems into clear and deliverable solutions.
  • Strong consulting, solution design and transformation experience, ideally gained in client-facing or large-scale programme environments.
  • Good understanding of automation, AI, digital platforms, data, APIs, cloud technologies and integration approaches.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to build business cases, ROI models and value-led proposals.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior client stakeholders and working across global or virtual teams.
  • Experience managing change, adoption planning and benefit realisation, with significant experience in solutioning, consulting or transformation roles, ideally including at least five years in insurance services.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £90,000 to £110,000, dependent on the level of experience.
