Description

  • Implement and manage data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network systems.
  • Monitor and optimise data centre performance to meet operational goals.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of data centre systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements for the data centre.

Profile

A successful Principal Data Centre Engineer should have:

  • Strong technical expertise in data centre infrastructure and operations within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Virtualisation: Advanced skills in Nutanix platform deployment and optimisation.
  • Windows Server Administration: Deep knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and services.
  • Hybrid Cloud Integration: Experience in designing and managing hybrid environments leveraging Azure/AWS.
  • Networking & Storage: Solid understanding of networking and storage technologies.
  • Security & Compliance: Familiarity with ISO27001 and other relevant standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to communicate, collaborate, and guide across global
  • Experience in managing servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve technical issues.
