Senior Analyst
An experienced research professional to lead high-impact studies that directly inform strategic decisions. You'll design and deliver primary research that fills critical evidence gaps, tests hypotheses and provides reliable insights into how the pensions landscape is evolving. You'll work with complex data, applying both qualitative and quantitative methods, producing clear, actionable recommendations.

Description
- Designing and delivering primary research studies using a range of methodologies (longitudinal, cross-sectional, cohort, quasi-experimental).
- Managing external research partners and overseeing effective contract and project delivery.
- Applying strong sampling knowledge and ensuring methodological robustness.
- Leading data collection through surveys, interviews, focus groups and other qualitative/quantitative approaches.
- Analysing research data using tools such as Excel or SPSS, applying descriptive statistics, statistical testing and qualitative coding.
- Translating complex findings into clear, accessible insights with practical recommendations.
- Communicating results to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensuring all research outputs meet government social research standards and organisational expectations.
Profile
- Experience designing robust research studies using recognised methodologies.
- Strong understanding of sampling approaches and their application.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods (surveys, interviews, focus groups).
- Ability to analyse data using tools like Excel or SPSS, including descriptive statistics and statistical tests (t-tests, chi-square etc.).
- Experience commissioning and managing research agencies and suppliers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate evidence into meaningful conclusions.
