As a Senior Solutions Architect You will design and deliver complex solutions across hardware and software, covering gates, ticket vending machines, validators, and retailing devices, working closely with suppliers and technical teams to shape scalable, future-ready architectures. Description

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions combining hardware and software systems.
  • Architect passenger-facing ticketing systems including gates, TVMs, and validators.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and external suppliers to deliver solutions.
  • Define architecture standards for validation and ticketing devices.
  • Ensure integration across smartcard and magnetic ticket processing systems.
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture strategy and governance.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across delivery teams.

Profile

  • Proven experience designing complex hardware and software solutions.
  • Strong enterprise architecture knowledge and practical application.
  • Background in transport ticketing or similar industries (highly desirable).
  • Experience with gates, ticket vending machines, and validation devices.
  • Knowledge of smartcard systems and magnetic ticket processing.
  • Experience working with ticketing system providers (e.g. major industry vendors).
  • Ability to work closely with suppliers and technical delivery teams.
  • TOGAF or Zachman certification (advantageous).
