Description
Business Data Analyst
- Partner with Front Office and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical and reporting solutions.
- Gather, challenge, and document business requirements across multiple teams.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and data quality issues.
- Create dashboards, reporting packs, and management information using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and SQL.
- Support system, reporting, and process enhancement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with Technology, Data, and Change teams to deliver business improvements.
- Present insights, recommendations, and project updates to senior stakeholders.
Profile
Business Data Analyst
A successful Business Data Analyst should have:
- Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role within financial services.
- Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
- Experience working directly with Front Office teams is highly desirable.
- Candidates from other financial services environments, including Risk, Finance, Operations, Change, Business Management, or Regulatory functions, will also be considered.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and operating procedures.
- Exposure to process improvement, transformation, AI, or automation initiatives would be advantageous.
Job Offer
Business Data Analyst
- Competitive salary of £55,000 to £65,000, + Bonus - dependent on the level of experience.
