Business Performance Manager
The Business Performance Manager will provide performance insight and reporting across four operational sites, helping leaders make better business decisions. You'll use data, Power BI and forecasting to improve operational efficiency, performance and profitability

Description
- Own and develop the operational KPI framework, reporting standards and performance governance across four sites.
- Deliver timely Power BI dashboards and management reporting that provide clear visibility of business performance.
- Analyse operational, commercial and financial data to identify risks, opportunities and performance trends.
- Support forecasting across volumes, revenue, costs, labour, processing capacity and margin.
- Produce board-level reporting that communicates performance, actions, risks and future outlook.
- Monitor key measures including throughput, downtime, quality, labour utilisation, transport performance and off take.
- Facilitate daily operational reviews and provide actionable performance insight to site leadership teams.
- Identify early warning indicators and support proactive decision making.
- Lead root cause analysis activities and track improvement plans through to completion.
- Improve reporting processes through automation, data modelling and reporting best practice.
- Partner with Finance, Commercial, Operations and other support functions to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Support budgeting, business planning and performance improvement initiatives across the operation.
Profile
A successful Business Performance Manager will have:
- Experience in operational performance, business performance, operations analysis, finance business partnering or continuous improvement.
- Strong ability to translate operational, commercial and financial data into actionable business insight.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, recycling, waste management, resource recovery or other fast-paced operational environments.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
- Knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, cost control, volume planning and margin analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience producing senior leadership or board-level reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
