Description

My client is looking to recruit a junior Azure infrastructure engineer. You will provide high-quality network and server infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud solutions, to support my clients IT portfolio and end user base. Ensuring all internal systems are functioning as expected both onsite and at remote locations with the minimum of disruption to users working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responding to the Infrastructure ticket queue in FreshService

* Monitoring and responding to enterprise infrastructure issues

* Server/network hardware builds, configuration and installation

* Creation and management of Citrix Releases

* Pro-active maintenance of servers, including software and firmware patching

* Creation and execution of change requests

* Point of escalation for other teams within Systems Support

* Provide consistently professional and high-quality interface between Systems Support and its customers

* Liaising with external resources (suppliers / manufacturers / support providers)

Profile

Tio be considered for this role, you must have an udnerstanding of the below and be able to techcnially articulate previosu experience.

* Operating Systems - Windows, Windows Server, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu)

* Cloud - Microsoft Azure

* Firewall - Checkpoint/pfSense, Cloudflare, NetScaler

* Networking - Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Ubiquiti - OSPF, RIP, BGP

* Email/Messaging - Microsoft Exchange/ExchangeOnline, Mimecast, Microsoft Teams

* Storage - NetApp (NFS), Synology/QNAP (iSCSI)

* Virtualisation - VMWare vSphere, Docker, Kubernetes/Tanzu Kubernetes Grid ESSENTIAL OR DESIRABLE

Additional Knowledge

* Virtual Desktop - Citrix VDI

* Management Tools - Microsoft SCCM

* Databases - SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB

Job Offer

A full time opportunity , joining a successful and busy IT team at the start of a global transformation project.

Salary on offer is £50,000 - £55,000 per year. there is a company wide bonus scheme paid each year base don performance, and equates to 1 x month extra in salary on average.

Hybrid working has been agreed; 2-3 days at site, in Leatherhead, Surrey.
