PMO (Project Management Officer)

As a PMO you will play a key role in delivering high-profile finance transformation projects within a large public sector organisation, helping to drive improvements that make a real impact on services and stakeholders. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll lead PMO activities including governance, reporting, project controls and budget tracking, ensuring complex programmes are delivered effectively and successfully.

Description

  • Ensure project governance processes are followed and maintained effectively.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Support project teams in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO function.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational and industry standards.

Profile

A successful PMO should have:

  • A background in PMO in finance transformation within the public sector.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A methodical and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Confidence working in a busy and varied environment.

Job Offer

  • Daily Rate - outside IR35 (DOE)
  • Home based - ad hoc travel up to North
