It was formed in April 2020 by the merger of Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, and Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job
EPUT and MSEFT are embarking on the implementation of a UK first of type Unified Electronic Patient Record (UEPR) system that spans Acute, Mental Health and Community services. The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, alongside our commercial partners for this significant transformative journey.

This technical role requires the incumbent toassistwith design, develop,testand implement solutions using specialised knowledge associated with integration of clinical messages within an Integration Engine environment in line with the digital strategy and a Digital Integration Analyst

Support the analysis and documentation of user and business requirements, in both a technical and non-technical format for clinical and digital services consumers.

Understand and apply relevant technical architecture strategies, policies,standardsand practices.

The position has day to day autonomy for resolving support issues and leading digital integration, independent of managerial supervision

Communication

The post holder will receive and be supported in interpretinghighly complexinformationregardingclinical systems providing recommendations and expert advice to the Infrastructure Team members and Digital Management teams asappropriate.

Assistingin specific technical inputregardingdevelopment and integration requirements tothird partysuppliers.

Will make some decisions around prioritiesregardingclinical and non-clinical systems developments with the senior members of the team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience such as applied science of IT or possesses specialised expert knowledge gained through real world experience in development and/or integration
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Substantial experience in a digital service problem solving role
- NHS Operational Background
- Recognised Experience with Integration Engines, solutions and methodologies.
Knowledge
- Demonstrable knowledge in problem solving or software development background
- Demonstrable experience of working within a project / delivery environment
- Understanding of integration technologies and topologies
- Demonstrable success in working within a team
