NOVA Information and Performance Analyst

Job summary

This is a key role in the Business Analysis and Reporting team which is currently going through an exciting time of change, to bringnew technologiesto the forefront of its work across the Trust as part of a new Trust wide digital strategy.

The team is transitioning to use Microsoft Power BI as the mainstay for presenting Trust reporting and analysis to operational teams and commissioners alike, to enable greaterself serviceand add more value to the delivery of business intelligence.

With the ability to work flexibly from home or a Trust site, the post-holder willfrequentlyrepresentthe Business Analysis and Reporting directorate as a "first point of contact",for performance and business reporting requirements.Working directly with the operational directorates,and alsocorporate directorates, the post-holder will design,developand providehighly-complex, specialist analysis reports, on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.This work will be aimed at supporting operational & resource management, businessplanningand the corporate requirements of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post-holderis responsible forcoordinating and developing performance improvement projects across the Trust,advisingand supporting services on the actionsrequiredto improve their adherence to national and contractual standards.

The post holder will apply specialised data analysis and interpretation skills, using current and developing new systems, to provide data for and on behalf of the Trust. The post holder will ensure that relevant,accurateandappropriate informationis provided ina timelyfashion, and an easily understandable format.The post holder will alsovalidatethe accuracy of outgoing information and communicate complex issues to theappropriate audiencefor action

The post-holder will play a critical role in the future development of the Trusts performance and business reporting procedures and systems.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • oEducated to post graduate level or equivalent relevant NHS experience
Desirable
  • oEvidence of continuing professional development to post graduate diploma level or equivalent.
  • oDemonstrable experience working in this field and evidence of working at in a role that necessitated working independently without day

Experience

Essential
  • oDemonstrable knowledge and experience of performance and business reporting requirements within the NHS.
  • oEvidence of co-ordinating and developing projects to support performance/service improvements.
  • oKnowledge of data quality issues and appropriate techniques for investigation and communication of findings.
  • oExperience and understanding of the current NHS/Social Care agenda.
