NOVA Training Lead

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the digital team on the joint MSE and EPUT electronic patient record (EPR) journey by joining the Nova Programme.

The Training Lead will beresponsible for providing effective clinical digital leadership to all staff andfor the execution of the Training Strategy for the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across two NHS organisations (MSEFT and EPUT) aimed at enhancing clinical data quality and digital systems proficiency of healthcare professionals within the clinical setting,contributing to the development of a digitally skilled workforce to promote safe, effective, high-quality care.

The post holder will support the Digital Education and Training team which is comprised of Clinical Educators, and Digital trainers, ensuring the delivery of innovative, fit for purpose training, supporting the EPR project activities and transformational change.

This role is essential to prioritising continuous improvements to the digital culture of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the training and education strategy for the Nova Programme.
  • Develop plans to harmonise different approaches to training and education on digital systems and work with internal and external partners to review and adopt policies and standards that supports high quality training opportunities.
  • Work with clinical educators to develop and maintain the documentation standards and protocols for digital system training records.
  • Participate in the design and acceptance testing of the digital systems to ensure that training requirements are fit for purpose and meets operational and clinical requirements.
  • Provide support, advice, and assistance to clinical staff during the rollout and post-implementation, addressing user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on digital system training.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Informatics teams across both organisations, and the wider education and digital teams.
  • Use knowledge, skills, and experience of workflows to influence and drive forward

appropriate training and the uptake of new digital innovations.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent senior nursing/midwifery/AHP experience
  • Recognised training and development qualification
  • Current professional registration
Desirable
  • Clinical Safety Officer trained

Knowledge

Essential
  • Significant experience at Band 7 or equivalent in nursing/midwifery/AHP
  • Experience in designing, planning and delivering education and training programmes
  • Experience of deploying a significant IT system in a clinical setting
  • Evidence of ability to prioritise workload, manage groups and deliver projects
  • Experience of audit and data capture
  • In depth understanding of clinical workflows and processes
Desirable
  • Experience working with IT systems
  • Experience of budgeting
