Middlemore have partnered with a phenomenal financial services firm to appoint a global Head of People Technology on a permanent basis. This appointment will lead the strategic direction, governance, and delivery of Workday across a 3,000-headcount global employee base. This role will define the operational vision, drive transformation, elevate data integrity, and establish a scalable roadmap for long-term adoption and optimisation. Key Responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Vision
- Create and communicate a clear structural vision for the Workday team and operating model.
- Develop a global Workday roadmap, transitioning the organisation from reactive operations to strategic planning.
- Drive cultural change, enabling teams to self-manage, reducing handholding, and fostering ownership.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Establish and manage governance frameworks across multiple HR functional areas (EE, TA, HRIS, MI).
- Engage with the Senior Leadership Team, business stakeholders, and product owners to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Hold stakeholders accountable for data ownership, decision-making, and roadmap execution.
Delivery & Implementation
- Lead the Workday transformation programme through multiple phases.
- Oversee configuration, deployment, reporting integrity, and global consistency.
- Manage cross-country implementation and readiness across UK, US, Europe, and Singapore.
Team Development
- Build and oversee a Workday Centre of Excellence & Governance team.
- Mentor and coach individuals such as junior analysts, reporting leads, and developing specialists.
- Foster a high-performance culture grounded in capability growth, upskilling, and self-sufficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership of Workday product ownership or global rollout/roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of Workday configuration, reporting, and data integrity.
- Able to build new structures, drive transformation, and inspire stakeholder accountability.
- Strategic yet pragmatic: able to operate at both high-level vision and hands-on detail.
- Culturally capable of "cracking on" and moving forward with minimal direction.
- Inspirational team leader: strong coaching style + talent development focus.
