The Strategy and Transformation Directorate within MPFT are looking to recruit a B7 Senior Project Manager.
This post is being offered on a 12-month secondment or fixed term basis.
In the first instance, the primary focus of this post will be to support the Trust's Neighbourhood Health Programme / System Integrator requirements. Therefore, experience of working across multiple system partners is desirable.

Main duties of the job
- Support Care Groups & corporate directorates in delivering strategic objectives through a portfolio of projects & transformation initiatives.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders to understand priorities, plan resources & support delivery of agreed projects and programmes.
- Lead & manage complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery of objectives, benefits, quality standards & milestones.
- Provide expert advice & guidance on project management methodologies, processes and governance.
- Deliver project management training to improve organisational understanding of project frameworks, roles & responsibilities.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring outputs are delivered to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
- Proactively identify & develop service improvement opportunities aligned with Trust strategies, including preparing proposals that outline benefits, risks and resource requirements.
- Support digital transformation programmes by delivering innovative digital projects that improve service delivery, patient outcomes & operational efficiency.
- Promote the effective use of digital technologies & ensure alignment with Trust priorities, NHS digital strategies and national standards.
- Advise stakeholders on digital best practice, interoperability, information governance & cyber security requirements.
- Provide leadership, support & mentoring within the team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and high performance

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with Care Groups, corporate teams and key stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder engagement for new and future work, contributing to capacity planning, resource allocation and service delivery discussions.
- Work collaboratively with Care Groups and corporate services to understand strategic priorities and business plans.
- Contribute to service strategies and business plans aligned to organisational objectives.
- Provide leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of service delivery plans.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement using best practice and Quality Improvement methodologies.
- Lead the development of funding proposals, business cases and tender submissions using research, data analysis and evidence-based approaches.
- Develop service delivery models, workforce structures, financial schedules and infrastructure requirements for tenders and business proposals.
- Present project, tender and business case updates through appropriate governance and approval processes.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear project plans, ensuring alignment with benefits, risks, resources and milestones.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion using recognised project management methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with the Transformation Framework, maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Manage project risks, issues, changes and exceptions, escalating where appropriate.

Person Specification
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
- oEducated to degree level or equivalent experience
- oProfessional project management qualification i.e. Prince, Agile, APM or MSP at practitioner or advanced level
- oService or quality improvement training or qualification
EXPERIENCE
- oEvidence of extensive project management experience in delivering large or complex projects
- oChange management/service development experience
- oExperience of working across multi-disciplinary teams and professions
- oSignificant experience of working with system partners
- oExperience in the application of lean redesign tools and techniques
- oBackground/proven experience in the NHS
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- oHighly organized with ability to co-ordinate and manage multiple project and areas of work simultaneously
- oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- oFacilitation skills to direct and support teams through all stages of the project to achieve measureable outcomes
