Working Hours: 38 hours per week
Working Pattern: On-site, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum

Overview
We are seeking an experienced PDMS Designer to support major nuclear projects at Hinkley Point C. The role will be responsible for managing PDMS model environments and enabling efficient, high-quality delivery of the execution design scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage PDMS model files to enable designers to generate deliverables with maximum automation and minimal manual intervention.
- Install and manage PDMS bases following HO1 instructions to ensure data integrity, procedural compliance, and accurate data transfer.
- Install and manage PDMS catalogues following RD delivery, identifying and resolving shortfalls proactively to minimise designer downtime.
- Create, manage, and test user accounts and access permissions to maintain control, quality, and security.
- Manage PDMS licensing to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
- Resolve software-related issues efficiently, directing and managing resources to minimise downtime.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders including software vendors, the client, design teams, and project teams.
- Support the client’s PDMS team to facilitate model updates and transfers across multiple sites.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of BPE software and support its use to ensure consistent outputs aligned with quality standards.
- Proactively support project activities, including ad hoc requirements, and contribute positively to team objectives.
- Identify and recommend improvements to team working methods to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Maintain continuing professional development (CPD) and stay up to date with industry best practice.
Experience & Technical Background
- Proven experience in piping design for nuclear power plants using PDMS.
- Experience in pipe manufacturing.
- Strong IT capability, including software maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution.
- Experience working on construction sites or operational plants is advantageous.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Strong knowledge of PDMS administration, execution design, and industrial project delivery, particularly nuclear piping systems.
- Good understanding of 2D and 3D design software rules and requirements.

- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while being an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and manage competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- French language skills would be advantageous.
