C++ Software Engineer
C++ Software Engineer – STL – UNIX - London Miller Maxwell is assisting a Tier-1 electronic trading organisation that is expanding its team as part of their 2026 growth plan. They seek a talented C++ Software Engineer to join the client's London team. This role will be a key contributor to the enhancement of their electronic trading ecosystem and surrounding environment. The client is part of a large investment banking group, one of the largest financial institutions globally.
Responsibilities for the C++ Software Engineer:
- Assist: Support the engineering manager with the growth of the team in London and the US office.
- Develop: Define and be involved in development projects for their core real-time trading engine.
- Collaborate: Work collaboratively with internal and external testing and engineering teams.
- Automate: Assist with further advancements in platform automation.
- Manage: Take ownership of business and technical change requests.
- Design: Plan and document software changes.
- Test: Conduct integration testing to ensure high-quality QA.
Requirements for the C++ Software Engineer:
- STEM Background: A solid foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- C++ Expertise: Proven commercial experience in C++ development.
- STL Experience: Proficiency with the Standard Template Library.
- UNIX Experience: Experience working in UNIX environments.
- Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
