Linux Engineer

Linux Engineer - London - 3 days in City of London office required. Miller Maxwell is partnering with a market-leading Electronic Trading organisation. They seek to hire a Linux Engineer to join their dynamic Infrastructure & Engineering Team in the heart of London.

The Linux Engineer will:

Maintain and support electronic trading systems.

Implement new technologies to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency

Troubleshoot complex systems issues in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Work across BAU and project-based initiatives

Collaborate with QA and Development teams to drive automation

Monitor system performance and optimise processes

Keep service desk informed of changes and testing post-deployment

Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation

What the client is looking for from the Linux Engineer:

Degree in a STEM-related subject

3–5 years' commercial Linux experience.

Strong knowledge of RedHat / CentOS Linux (Enterprise)

Understanding of networking, security, and scripting (Bash, Python)

Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools - Desirable

Familiarity with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) - Desirable

Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Desirable
