Responsibilities for the Linux Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimise Linux-based systems across production and development environments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with application teams to support deployments and integrations.
  • Automate routine tasks and contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including patching and compliance monitoring.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and incident response activities.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and process improvements.

Linux Infrastructure Engineer:

  • A STEM based degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or similar distributions).
  • Experience with shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of security practices within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
