Senior Frontend Software Engineer
Miller Maxwell is recruiting on behalf of a leading electronic trading firm seeking to hire a Senior Frontend Software Engineer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to take ownership of front‐end development across a range of high‐performance trading platforms. The successful Senior Frontend Software Engineer will work closely with front‐office traders, research teams and collaborate with experienced Java and Python developers to build high-performance systems.
As the Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop complex front‐end applications using React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Build real‐time, data‐driven user interfaces for high‐performance trading systems
- Collaborate with backend teams working with Java and Python
- Define and maintain UI architecture, coding standards and best practices
- Work directly with traders and business users to turn detailed requirements into intuitive UI solutions
- Play a key role in shaping the long‐term front‐end engineering strategy
Experience required for the Senior Frontend Software Engineer:
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or another STEM subject
- Commercial experience gained within an electronic trading or high‐performance software environment
- Proven production experience with React and JavaScript
- GraphQL experience.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript for large‐scale applications
- Experience building real‐time or data‐intensive user interfaces
- Additional exposure to Java or Python
