An exciting opportunity for a part-time HR Systems Administrator has arisen within the HR Systems Team. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive first level, customer focused front-line service to Trust clinicians and managers to utilise HR Systems to their full potential.

To work on all HR Systems including roll out of new functionality as well as ensuring maximum benefits are derived through business-as-usual activities. The post holder is responsible for working under the supervision of the HR Systems Supervisor to deliver all HR Systems projects in a timely and effective manner. HR Systems include systems such as E-Rostering, ESR, 24/7 Time, etc.
The postholder will be required to work with Trust clinicians and managers to utilise HR Systems to their full potential. This includes:
1. Supporting the implementation of projects to roll out HR systems across the Trust for all staff groups.
2. Ensuring managers can access and understand the information available to them in order to maximise system benefits.
3. Ensuring there is adherence to national and Trust guidelines and organisational policy in relation to HR system usage.
4. Processes and procedures are in place to utilise key performance indicators to influence better working practises.
5. Frontline support of staff queries in regards to HR Systems and Payroll.HR Systems is a busy department that works towards strict deadlines.

Job responsibilities
Communication and Relationship Skills
Represent HR systems, producing standard reports, for Trust meetings as required.
The post holder will provide support to users of the software to ensure that the systems are used to their full potential.
Analytical Skills
Responsible for the analysis of shift patterns and rules to develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support individual end user requirements that fit in with the Trust policies and safe staffing requirements, in a timely and professional manner.
Liaise with senior operational leads, to draw their attention to key information and ensure they understand how the information was derived.
Planning and Organisational Skills
Manage own workload under regular supervision to ensure all deadlines and KPIs are met.
Responsibility for Policy / Service Development
The postholder will be responsible for following HR systems policies and any procedures and guidelines necessary for the success of the systems and the standardisation of practice across the Trust.
Follow Trust policies, highlighting where there may be suboptimal practice to HR colleagues.
Responsibility for Financial and Physical Resources
Supports delivery potential cost savings across HR management and roster management i.e. reduction of agency spend, improved annual leave planning/use.
Responsibility for Human Resources
To be a system super user for the Trust, responsible for its continued operation and provide guidance and training on HR systems across the Trust.
Support delivery of system presentations to engage with the workforce as well as to any internal/external stakeholders as required.
Duties in Relation to Information Resources
Maintenance of HR systems and creation of reports to escalate to HR Systems Supervisor as required.
The post holder will work on the implementation of ongoing maintenance of the system within the Trust, including upgrades, data integrity and data quality assurance.
Responsibilities in Relation to Research and Development
To undertake HR systems surveys and audits on a regular basis to allow review of system and user effectiveness.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required.

Person Specification
Qualifications and knowledge
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Experience of database administration
- Experience of working within a project environment, including delivery of activities
- Experience of working to strict deadlines
- Experience of generating basic reports
- Evidence of delivering projects/tasks/ responsibilities and using resources with minimum guidance.
- Previous experience of NHS or similar organisation's information systems
- Experience in working with e-Rostering, ESR and other HR systems.
Skills
- Ability to support delivery of training to meet specific needs to the target audience on a group and 1-1 basis.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation and with differing staff groups, providing support and guidance in a positive way.
- Ability to manage own workload with supervision and use own initiative.
- Ability to interpret and explain issues in a logical and practical manner.
- High attention to detail, and accurate and timely data input and manipulation
