DevOps Lead - FinTech SaaS

Miryco Consultants are working with a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS firm in the RegTech space to strengthen their Tech team. They are looking for an experienced and motivated DevOps Lead to join their engineering team.

You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of their cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices—playing a central role in the reliability, performance, and security of the SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and manage infrastructure using Terraform and related IaC tooling to ensure repeatable, secure, and auditable environments.
• Cloud Platform Management: Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud services on AWS, ensuring cost efficiency, availability, and scalability. Manage key services including networking, compute, storage, and IAM.
• Cloudflare Integration: Configure and maintain Cloudflare services, including DNS, edge security, and performance optimizations. Support DDoS protection, load balancing, and caching strategies.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling, enabling automated testing, integration, and deployment across multiple environments.
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure full visibility into infrastructure and application performance. (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Security & DevSecOps: Embed security best practices across all stages of infrastructure and deployment, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and secure networking.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data, and security teams to ensure alignment on deployment standards, architecture, and automation strategy.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and configurations. Support internal enablement and operational handover practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline infrastructure, reduce manual processes, and adopt modern tooling and best practices.

About You

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Deep expertise with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, VPC).
• Proven experience managing and configuring Cloudflare, including DNS and edge security.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipeline design, particularly using GitHub Actions.
• Solid background in monitoring and observability of distributed, cloud-native systems.
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure infrastructure design.
• Excellent communicator with strong documentation and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, integration, automation).
• Exposure to ML Ops (deploying and maintaining machine learning models).
• Familiarity with security tooling (e.g., Snyk, Checkov, vulnerability scanners).
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration platforms.
• Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Background in financial services, RegTech, or other regulated environments.
