Overview

In this role, you will be part of a small IT department working for a fabulous company based in Stevenage, that employs 200 people on site.

This is an ideal role for someone with a passion and interest in IT who wants to join a department driving the business into a new digital era.

You must have some commercial IT experience, even if it’s only for a few months.

You will provide technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

You’ll also help maintain IT systems and ensure optimal system performance to minimize downtime across the organization.

This position offers the opportunity be responsible for the day-to-day IT operations of a well-established international company. We're looking for someone who brings enthusiasm to their work and a can-do attitude.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to the staff (onsite and remote)
• Handling basic tickets from our internal help desk
• Reviewing unallocated tickets raised and allocating them to the appropriate team member and/or to our external support provider
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT asset inventory
• Support onboarding and offboarding of employees, including device setup
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for support and warranty claims
• Supporting other responsibilities while other members are out of the office

Skills

• General Microsoft Office knowledge
• Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Proactive approach to work and learning new technologies
• You must live locally to Stevenage or have your own transport.
