Manchester | Hybrid – 2 days office / 3 days home | Up to £35,000

We're working exclusively with a growing, people-focused technology organisation in Manchester to appoint an HR Advisor who can bring a practical, commercial and people-centred approach to the role.
This opportunity will give you the chance to develop your HR skills in a fully generalist role, being able to lead of key HR projects, managaging employee experience and engagement, and taking a lead with people development.
The role
You'll have the opportunity to work across employee relations, HR operations, engagement, policy, reporting and learning & development, while helping managers build their confidence and capability when dealing with people issues.
It's a varied role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, can manage competing priorities and is comfortable working independently while knowing when to draw on the wider People team.
What you'll be doing
- Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Managing and supporting employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and flexible working
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding
- Coaching and guiding managers on people-related matters
- Supporting HR reporting, people data and management information
- Helping develop and implement HR policies and processes
- Contributing to learning and development activity and training
- Leading on wider People projects and continuous improvement activity
About you
We're looking for someone with a solid grounding in generalist HR who is ready to take ownership and build on their experience.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working in a generalist HR role
- Experience supporting or managing employee relations cases
- HR Project experience
- Strong HR administration and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to advise managers
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
- CIPD Level 3 or above, or be working towards this
What's on offer?
- Salary up to £35,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid working – 2 days in the Manchester office and 3 days from home
- Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week
