An established and growing B2B distribution business is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within its structured networking and data centre solutions offering.
This role focuses on developing new business and growing key accounts across installers, contractors, and specifiers, with a strong emphasis on s tructured cabling, fibre, connectivity, and enterprise infrastructure solutions. It’s a consultative, solution-led sales position suited to someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships in a technically driven environment.
Key responsibilities for a Business Development Manager
- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy within structured networking, with a focus on data centre and enterprise environments.
- Identify and win new business while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Engage with installers, contractors, consultants, and specifiers to influence design and product selection.
- Manage sales pipelines, forecasts, pricing, and quotations to deliver profitable growth.
- Support tender submissions and framework agreements for larger projects.
- Work closely with internal sales, technical, product, and marketing teams to deliver a consistent customer experience.
- Provide market and competitor insight to support product positioning and commercial strategy.
- 5+ years’ proven sales success within structured networking or structured cabling solutions.
- Strong technical understanding of structured cabling, fibre and copper connectivity, cable management, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience selling solutions into data centres, commercial buildings, or large-scale installations.
- Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow strategic accounts.
- Confident, consultative sales approach with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a field-based, hybrid role.
