Salary: Circa £50,000 DOE
Package: Up to £6,000 bonus, company car or £550 monthly car allowance, 6% pension and private healthcare
Working pattern: Hybrid – minimum three days office-based
Hours: 34.5 hours per week
The opportunity
We are recruiting a Commercial Operations Manager for an established global manufacturer within a technical products sector.
Your priority will be to bring these functions together, improve communication and remove the bottlenecks affecting customers, sales and internal teams. You will combine strong people leadership with commercial awareness, process improvement and project management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Customer Service, Estimating and Design teams.
- Improve collaboration and handovers between commercial functions.
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Establish clear responsibilities, priorities and performance measures.
- Improve the customer journey from initial enquiry through to pricing and design.
- Support improvements to ERP, CRM and other business systems.
- Lead process-improvement and change projects through to implementation.
- Use data and commercial insight to improve performance.
- Build effective relationships across the wider business.
- Contribute to divisional strategy as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
About you
You will be a confident, resilient and commercially minded leader who can bring different teams together and influence positive change.
You will ideally have:
- Experience leading customer-facing or commercially focused teams.
- Strong people-management experience, ideally across multiple functions.
- A background in commercial operations, customer service, sales operations or a related environment.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Strong project and change-management capability.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM or other business systems.
- The ability to use data to support decisions and improve performance.
- Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills.
- Experience within a B2B environment.
Experience within manufacturing or another technical product environment would be advantageous.
The package
- Circa £50,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
- Annual performance-related bonus of up to £6,000.
- Fully expensed company car or £550 monthly car allowance.
- 34.5-hour working week.
