Finance Manager

We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology business for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function during an exciting period of growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys improving processes, implementing systems and working within a growing SME environment. You'll play a key role in supporting senior leadership, producing insightful financial reporting and helping to build a scalable finance function as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities for a Finance Manager:
  • Manage the day-to-day finance function, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and board reporting.
  • Improve financial controls and implement scalable finance processes.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, reducing manual administration and increasing efficiency.
  • Support the integration of finance systems to improve reporting and data accuracy.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support and mentor the Credit Controller.
  • Present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting through automation and technology.
Key Skills for a Finance Manager:
  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
  • AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, management accounts and VAT.
  • Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Proven track record of improving finance processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience within a growing SME environment is highly desirable.
