This permanent, full-time, remote role brings together project delivery, operational improvement and practical implementation support. You will work with clinical and operational colleagues, digital specialists and suppliers on projects that improve access, efficiency, staff experience and patient services.

The portfolio includes automation, AI-enabled workflow redesign and other digital solutions. We welcome relevant experience in healthcare, digital transformation, operational improvement or a similar regulated environment.

Salary: From £45,000, dependent on experience. Contract type: Permanent. Hours: Full-time. Working arrangements: Remote, with national travel and occasional evening work. Closing date: Friday 30 October 2026.

Main duties of the job

This is a practical programme delivery position with the chance to see ideas become part of everyday services. You will coordinate projects and build the relationships, evidence and implementation support needed to make change stick. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and accountable to the Chief Clinical Information Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating digital projects, with clear milestones, ownership, risks, dependencies and progress reporting.
  • Preparing meeting papers, decision logs, actions and updates for digital transformation forums and senior leaders.
  • Working with clinical, operational and supplier teams to capture requirements, resolve implementation issues and support rollout.
  • Developing use cases and improvement proposals for digital solutions, including automation and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Creating user guidance, training resources and practical support to help teams adopt new systems and processes.
  • Tracking adoption, outcomes, feedback and benefits, and using the findings to improve future delivery.
  • Preparing case studies, impact reports and evidence to communicate the results of digital transformation projects.

You will work across multiple teams and priorities, combining clear project discipline with hands-on problem-solving. The impact of your work will be seen not just in completed plans but in solutions that teams can confidently use and improvements that can be measured.

Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential
  • Knowledge of project planning, delivery governance, implementation documentation and benefits tracking.
  • Understanding of digital transformation, automation, AI-enabled workflows and change adoption.
  • Awareness of information governance, data protection, confidentiality and NHS digital standards.
  • Understanding of primary care delivery models, workforce pressures and operational challenges.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable programme or project delivery experience in healthcare, digital transformation, operational improvement or a similar regulated environment, including support for complex change, service improvement or technology-enabled transformation.
Desirable
  • Experience developing use cases, benefits cases, case studies, award submissions or impact reports; familiarity with GP clinical systems such as EMIS and SystmOne; and a PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent project management experience.
