Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer

My client, a high-performing multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their London office.

Working alongside the CTO, COO, and global engineering teams, you’ll help design, support, and enhance a hybrid multi-cloud environment across Azure and AWS. This hands-on role combines day-to-day user and infrastructure support with exposure to DevOps tooling, automation, and cloud engineering within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st–2nd line technical support to users across the business, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
• Build, configure, and maintain laptops, servers, and mobile devices to firm standards.
• Support and optimise the firm’s multi-cloud setup across Azure and AWS, including App Services, Storage, and Networking.
• Contribute to automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Support release pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, collaborating closely with developers and operations.
• Maintain and monitor IT security tools including antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Partner with senior management to advance cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and resilience programmes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in IT support or infrastructure engineering within a financial or professional services environment. You’ll bring hands-on experience across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure, along with foundational knowledge of AWS, networking, and DevOps tools. Familiarity with Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps pipelines is highly desirable, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
