Senior Platform Engineer - Tier 1 Multi Strategy Fund ~$300k+

A Tier 1 multi-strategy fund are seeking a senior, skilled platform engineer to join the business and lead the expansion / build out of their technology platform to deliver a best-in-class environment which will power the companies workloads.

This is a highly technical, engineering-driven environment where infrastructure is seen as a strategic advantage. You will work alongside exceptional technologists to design, automate and operate the systems that power a multi-strategy trading platform.

• Provision and configure physical + virtual servers (including occasional data centre work).
• Manage and troubleshoot hypervisors and virtualisation stacks.
• Administer Debian-based Linux systems using automation—and manually when necessary.
• Review and maintain hardware configuration records through automated tooling.
• Build new automation and tooling for systems administration.
• Use Infra-as-Code to configure and deploy services (load balancers, HA systems, databases, middleware, queues, container orchestrators, etc.).
• Troubleshoot across application, OS, virtualisation, and hardware layers.
• Work with networks at a basic troubleshooting/diagnostics level.
• Configure monitoring and alerting (Prometheus ecosystem).

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Proficiency with automation tools.
• Hands-on Linux (Debian-based) systems administration.
• Production experience in containerised environments.
• Understanding of high availability patterns.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Bonus: deep hardware knowledge, networking fundamentals, familiarity with network equipment, strong automation mindset.
