Senior Software/DevOps Engineer - High Frequency Trading Firm - London

My client, a highly prestigious hedge fund, is seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong developer background to join their Platform Engineering team in London.

Embedded within a high-performing technology function, you will play a key role in evolving a modern, GitOps-driven platform, working at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure.

This role is heavily focused on Kubernetes in bare metal environments, ArgoCD, and developer-led platform engineering, and will suit an engineer who has transitioned from a development background into DevOps or platform roles.

You will take ownership of Kubernetes cluster design and GitOps workflows, leveraging ArgoCD to drive consistent, automated deployments across complex environments. Working closely with engineering teams, you will help shape internal platforms, improve developer experience, and build scalable, production-grade systems from the ground up.

Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) is beneficial but secondary to Kubernetes, GitOps, and developer-led platform experience.
