Trading Systems Operations - Tier 1 Proprietary Trading Fund ~ $350k

A tier 1 leading proprietary trading fund are seeking a highly technical trading systems engineer to support one of their most successful trading desks (systematic) as a "go to" for maintenance and improvement. This position will require a high level of competency in python, linux, FIX, SQL and network administration. You'll join the low-latency trading desk to improve latency-sensitive production systems.

What you'll do:

• Maintain and operate real-time low-latency trading systems across numerous markets and datacentres.
• Focus on production systems and be a "go to" for troubleshooting incidents and create artifacts for post-mortems to ensure future failures are avoided.
• Work on application upgrade automation to stay current with vendor releases.
• Integrate large amounts of data to improve logging, monitoring and alerting to aid in issue prioritisation.
• Collaborate with networking engineers, traders, and DevOps to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.

We're looking for:

• 5+ years in systems / development.
• Deep experience maintaining and improving linux-based production environments.
• Strong competency in python coding and scripting in shell or bash.
• Troubleshooting buds in software and contribute to permanent fixes.
• A strong focus on continue improvement of workflows.
